U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz has officially endorsed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, following a major victory in the Iowa caucus earlier this week.

In a post on X, Cruz stated that he is proud to endorse Trump and said it is “the time for us to unite to oust Joe Biden and save our country from the Democrats’ destructive agenda.”

Trump won the caucuses in Iowa on Monday with 51 percent of the vote, beating the previous victory margin record set in 1988.

Cruz called Trump’s win in Iowa “decisive,” before calling on Republicans to unite behind Trump and “beat Joe Biden.”

Trump has also received endorsements from other Texas officials, including Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Attorney General Ken Paxton, Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, and Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller.
