Last Saturday afternoon in Dallas, Protect Texas Kids—an organization “dedicated to fighting against LGBTQ and CRT propaganda in schools & harmful, irreversible ‘gender-affirming care’ for minors”—and Culture Warriors of America held a protest in Judge Mary Brown’s neighborhood against her ruling in the James Younger case.
The protest was in response to Judge Mary Brown ruling “that Jeff Younger’s ex-wife can take their children out of state in order to medically transition one of their sons.”
Background
As chronicled by Texas Scorecard, Jeff Younger is the father of 9-year-old James. Jeff Younger’s ex-wife, Anne Georgulas, sought to put James on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones that would chemically castrate him.
Judge Mary Brown presides over the 301st Family District Court of Dallas County. She awarded Ann Georgulas, James’ non-biological mother, full custody. In addition, the court expanded the primary residence restriction to “anywhere in the continental United States.”
Judge Brown also ruled that Ann Georgulas’ personal address, as well as the children’s address, is to remain confidential and only be shared with the amicus.
An update on the Save James Facebook page reads, “There’s no easy way to say this. The judge has ruled against Jeff Younger as expected. James and Jude are lost.”
Judge Mary Brown is running as a write-in candidate and explained on an Instagram post, “My application was challenged and after review was found to be defective in that it didn’t contain 250 verifiable signatures on the necessary petitions.”
Judge Brown blamed the error on a political consultant she had hired. She did not address this issue on her Facebook page.
The Protest
Numerous videos of the protest show a large crowd, led by Kelly Neidert, walking around the judge’s neighborhood. The demonstration was largely comprised of young adults, many carrying a banner of the transgender pride flag that read, “STOP Transitioning Kids it’s Child Abuse.”
Many demonstrators were seen sporting MAGA hats and holding crucifixes, and some of their chants included “Down with Judge Mary Brown!”, ”Keep your hands off our kids!”, and “Christ is King!”
Many online personalities attended the protest, including the hosts of the YouTube channels “The KGB Show” and “Red Eagle Politics” (who have an impressive subscriber count of 152,000).
Kai Schwemmer, an America First speaker, explained his reason for attending the march:
Judge Mary Brown is now allowing this woman, Anne Georgulas, who is literally a criminal trying to mutilate her son, to leave the state of Texas, fleeing the law in Texas which would stop her from doing so. This issue will affect every single parent and child in every single state unless something is done about it right here and right now by voting Judge Mary Brown out of office.
