An East Texas teacher and her boyfriend have been arrested on child pornography charges.

Authorities allege the couple had child sexual abuse images and video of her performing a sexual act on a male dog on their phones.

Hillary Danielle Williams, 33, was arrested Saturday in Lufkin and charged with bestiality and possession with intent to promote child pornography.

Her partner, 37-year-old Michael Scott McCary, was charged with possession of child pornography.

All of the charges are felonies. The felony levels of child porn offenses depend on the number of images possessed and the age of the children depicted.

In addition to the video of Williams and the dog, McCary had multiple explicit images of an elementary school-aged child on his phone, according to a report by CBS 19.

McCary allegedly told investigators that he and Williams would use cocaine and watch porn. He blamed the cocaine for their “abnormal sexual activities.”

He also claimed that both of them had been molested as children.

Williams was a teacher in the Wells Independent School District. She taught math to junior high and high school students beginning in 2024.

Superintendent Jimmy Friday Wright confirmed that the district accepted Williams’ resignation on Monday, February 24.

“We were made aware on Saturday morning of the arrest of a WISD employee, which is currently under further investigation. We are working closely with authorities and our attorney to ensure that all proper procedures are followed, with the safety and security of our students remaining our top priority,” stated Wright.

“At this time, we have no information indicating that any of our students are directly involved in this situation. We will provide updates as more information becomes available,” he added.

State records show Williams’ teaching certificate is under review by the Texas Education Agency.

Williams and McCary were booked into the Angelina County Jail on February 22.

Williams was released Monday on a $350,000 bond. McCary remained in jail as of Tuesday. His bond was set at $250,000.

Hundreds of Texas teachers have been accused of sex crimes involving children in just the past few years.
