A devoted husband, father, service member, and conservative, Morad Fiki has dedicated his life to preserving freedom and liberty for himself and his country.
Born in Wyoming to immigrant parents who ventured to America in pursuit of higher education, he’s truly a product of the “American Dream.” The promise of employment brought the Fiki family to Houston where he says he learned the values of faith, family, and freedom. He emphasized, “We need to instill these values in our community … values in our youth. That’s what my mom did for me.”
Adamant on preserving those values, Fiki enlisted in the United States Marine Corps following high school graduation. It was the Corps that taught him dignity and self-responsibility. After his service as a Marine, he enrolled in the University of Houston where he studied Business Administration, Spanish, and Finance. His passion for service brought him back to the military where he accepted a commission as a U.S. Naval Officer. Today he continues to serve in the Navy Reserves.
Fiki’s activism is fueled by his determination to leave a better America for future generations. He said, “It isn’t fair that spending and an unsustainable debt will be left for our children to pay down.”
He’s an active member of several Houston-area political organizations including the Houston Young Republicans and the Harris County Republican Party. As a licensed real estate professional, he intimately understands the need for property tax relief for Texans. Fiki also sits on the political advisory board for the Houston Association of Realtors.
With a long career ahead, Fiki says he wants to serve Texans by creating a more efficient and transparent government. He emphasized the need for more focus from the grassroots on engaging minority communities, and by getting the youth more involved in the governing process.
When away from work and his various volunteer commitments, Fiki enjoy sports as a football enthusiast and an adrenaline junkie who loves both sky and scuba diving.
His dedication to his country and local community knows no bounds. Whether it’s in a uniform or a business suit he lives the American Dream every day by using his life experiences to teach others the values he learned from his family—faith, family, and freedom.
