An elementary school teacher in New Braunfels has been arrested and charged with indecent exposure and stalking.

Jacob Lyn Peters, 44, taught 4th grade math and science at Voss Farms Elementary in New Braunfels Independent School District.

Parents were notified that the alleged crimes did not occur on campus or involve NBISD students, and that the district intended to terminate Peters’ employment.

The district has not yet responded to a request for more information.

Online records show Peters worked for three other Texas school districts in the past four years: San Marcos, Navarro, and Bastrop.

His teaching certificate remains valid and is not shown as under review by the Texas Education Agency.

Peters was arrested by the Seguin Police Department and booked into the Guadalupe County Jail on November 13. He was released the next day on a $10,000 bond for each charge.

He is among hundreds of Texas educators accused of sex crimes in just the past few years.
