Two employees in Splendora Independent School District are each facing five felony child pornography charges after the pair was accused of possessing multiple images showing sexual abuse of children.
Anthony Jackson, 26, worked at Splendora High School.
Isaac Silva, 29, worked at Peach Creek Elementary.
Jackson is charged with five counts of possessing 50 or more visual depictions of children engaging in sexual conduct, a first-degree felony punishable by up to 99 years in prison.
Silva is charged with five counts of possessing child pornography, a third-degree felony punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison.
Each is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
The two men, who appear to live together, were arrested on June 6 by Montgomery County Precinct 4 constables working with Texas Department of Public Safety investigators and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
District officials confirmed the two are on administrative leave pending an investigation.
Both reportedly worked as paraprofessionals within the district. Neither has been issued a Texas teaching certificate, according to state records.
Splendora ISD Superintendent Jeff Burke said the district is conducting its own investigation in cooperation with law enforcement.
Anyone with information or questions is asked to contact the district’s lead investigator, Detective Stacy Sherlock.
Silva and Jackson are among scores of Texas teachers and school employees charged with sexually exploiting children.
