A video has resurfaced showing a gang beating a Dallas man on the side of the road, and Dallas Police are now admitting the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua has infiltrated the city.

In the video posted to social media, a group of men can be seen beating up a man on the ground, repeatedly kicking and smacking his head as his body goes limp. Gunshots can also be heard in the background.

The video, which first circulated in 2023, was recently shared on X by Libs of TikTok.

“Violent illegal alien gangs are taking over American cities. Watch as a group of Venezuelans beat a helpless man in Dallas as gunshots are fired off in the background,” wrote Chaya Raichik, who operates the account. “This is Kamala’s America.”

Since the resurfacing of the video, the Dallas Police Department confirmed to The Daily Mail that Tren De Aragua has settled in North Texas and is committing heinous crimes.

“We have had gang activity in the north Dallas area linked to the Tren De Aragua gang from Venezuela,” Dallas PD spokeswoman Jennifer Pryor told the Daily Mail.

The gang is best known for its involvement in sex trafficking young girls and women and exploiting other Venezuelans. The group has also been behind a string of crimes stretching from New York to Miami and now over to Texas.

Before Dallas PD’s confirmation, it had been rumored that the gang had made its presence known in North Texas for at least a year.

“Our department is collaborating with other agencies to address possible crimes linked to this and other gangs in our city,” explained Pryor.

Members of the Tren De Aragua gang have congregated with other Venezuelans in the northern part of Dallas, nicknamed “Villa Dallas.”

Since the gang’s arrival, the neighborhood has become riddled with illegal street racing, beatings, shootings, and extortion attempts.

Some conservative estimates have put the Venezuelan population in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at at least 20,000—with many living in northern Dallas.

Kinney County Attorney Brent Smith, who has been at the forefront of the crisis on Texas’ southern border, told Texas Scorecard that the Dallas City Council’s soft-on-crime approach makes criminals feel welcome in the city.

“Sanctuary cities love classifying themselves as such until it’s time to experience sanctuary city problems. The Dallas City Council made their position quite clear when they embraced a soft-on-crime approach to those in our country illegally,” said Smith.

“These types of illegal alien criminals are flocking to those cities who will tolerate them and I doubt they have plans on leaving anytime soon,” he added.

Tren De Aragua has also made an appearance in Aurora, Colorado, where they took over an apartment building. According to a Colorado law firm, the Venezuelan gang began taking over the Whispering Pines Apartments in late 2023. Since then they have been involved in a string of crimes including violent assaults, threats of murder, extortion, and child prostitution.

Additionally, the gang has shown up in Chicago, where members have been linked to narcotics and weapons charges.
