A Texas teacher has been arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a child and for an improper relationship between an educator and student.

At the time, 37-year-old Christopher David Session worked at Richard Allie Middle School in Crowley Independent School District.

According to CISD Superintendent Michael McFarland, the student involved does not attend Richard Allie Middle School but does attend another school in CISD.

“We took immediate action and put the employee on administrative leave when we first became aware of the concern, and we are fully cooperating with the investigation that is being led by the Fort Worth Police Department,” explained McFarland in a letter to CISD families and staff.

While CISD has approximately 16,000 students, McFarland clarified that investigators have found no evidence that any other students were involved.

It is not clear exactly when Session was arrested, or when the alleged incident happened, but authorities reported Saturday the teacher was bonded out of jail.

According to the Texas Education Agency, Session’s teaching certificate is still valid. Session’s school district email address is still active and his profile can be found on CISD’s Staff Directory page.

McFarland told parents the district will not tolerate “this type of illegal behavior” between an educator and a student.

“In Crowley ISD, we are committed to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all students, and we expect the highest standard of excellence from all educators,” said McFarland. “This is extremely upsetting to all of us. … We will continue to act like a family and work like a team in Crowley ISD. We ask for your patience as we navigate this difficult situation, and we remain grateful for your support of our students, staff and schools.”

Both McFarland and Session refused Texas Scorecard’s request for comment.
