I spend most weeks trying to educate and empower each of you in the hopes that this will give you the tools necessary to enact positive change in Texas. This week, I’m taking a break and, instead, discussing one of the most important seasons of the year: Advent.

It’s the historic celebration of the entire Christmas season that the church has used to reorient our hearts and minds. Personally, I think we could all use a little reorientation, and I hope you take a little bit of time this week to do just that.
