Ever find yourself in a department store with a question, but you can’t find anyone who actually works there. So you just wander. That’s what it feels like when you call most banks. But at frost, we have live customer service 24/7. So you can speak to a real human right when you call every time you call, no phone tree. No bots, just help from a real human when you need it. It’s about being there for you. It’s about more than money. Frost Bank. You know, the job was dangerous when you took it for him. I have a question for me. One might even go so far. It’s mediocre. I guess I should salute you with a worthy adversary and all that. But the truth is, I really did he had guts for podcasts. Going to share a conversation with you that I had with a a Texas House legislator, I’m not going to tell you who it is. Because this this person I’ve I’ve grown to trust and I and I didn’t want to break it to this person about what the reality of the legislative session was, at least as far as the conservative priorities. The conservative movement is concerned. As you all know, I have looked at this last legislative session where a lot of the priorities of the Republican party a lot of conservative priorities, a lot of common sense priorities of the people of Texas just didn’t get done. And they were they were done and the Senate side, the house, just mailed it in. The Senate proved that it could do that. The legislative body could do work. And the house proved by their inaction that they just simply weren’t interested in doing any work. The Texas scorecard had a story out that the Texas House lawmakers got their full months per diem pay on one of the months in the session where they worked one day, try they worked one day and they got the full per diem reimbursements. So tell me can you do your job for one day and get paid for a full month? I can’t. So that shows you the level of commitment to doing their jobs the Texas House leadership had, they were committed to partying and drinking and, and making merry on our dime. Let me read to you from the story. Who wrote this. This was a Brandon Waltons, our buddy Brandon. Despite the fact that the House members worked less than one day of the special session in Austin, they will still be entitled to collect their per diem salaries for a full month’s work. In the part time legislature, lawmakers earn a relatively small salary of $7,200. That’s not the only cash they receive. However, in addition to the $600 a month each legislator received they’re also entitled to $221 and per diem each day for the legislative session, regardless of whether they are there or not even in a special session. And that work ethic, I’m sad to say is emblematic of the type of session that was turned in so I didn’t want to tell my friend in the in the Texas State House, that really this person’s idea that they got something done that they did good work and achieved a great deal was a fantasy because I don’t believe they did. I fervently disagree, and I’m not the only one and a Texas scorecard editorial called we gave them a chance they blew it. I’m going on a rhino hunt. Will you join me? The Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller took the task, the what what he calls failures, what I call the Republican leadership, who is at the behest of the Democrat Socialist Party, killing common sense conservative, Freedom promoting bills. Sid Miller writes, failing to end the China virus mandates it got watered down failing to pass school choice failing to pass pass property tax reduction failing to expand compassionate use, failing to prohibit hostile foreign land ownership, meaning enemies like Mother Russia, and the number one state sponsor of terrorism, Iran, yes and Communist China. What was the point of all the hard work to get these people elected, said Miller rights. They promised to reflect our conservative Texas values and the will of the voters. Some did. Some didn’t. Too many air quotes Republicans supported Democrat chairs and opposed core conservative principles for political reasons. I am perhaps most disappointed in the rural Republicans he wrote, many of whom I endorsed, turning their backs on their voters and their voters interests. Personally, I’ve had it. During the session I watched I judged and I took names. I know who the self serving corrupt and dishonest elected Republicans are. And I have them in my crosshairs. Everyone wants to play it safe. Everyone wants to dance with the girl that brung them lobbyists, superintendents, and the state, get rich, the rest of us get shafted. I’ve never been known to play the game or play it safe. And I’m not starting now. I’m on the side of millions of Texans, who voted for reforms, only to be laughed at by lying politicians that manipulated them for votes and power. This is my call to every Texas Republican conservative and reformer regardless of party. These rhinos hurt us all. They victimized our state, our party and our futures for their own power, wealth and ego. Just like William Travis, the Alamo. I have drawn a line in the sand. I will no longer support any Republican elected official who doesn’t put Texans first and support the conservative agenda of the Texas GOP enjoy the benefits of running as a Republican support the Republican agenda, period. I’m going on a rhino hunt. Will you join me? No more half loaves for Texas conservatives See you in the primaries. Sid Miller pointed out on Twitter. He got more statewide votes than did the Governor, Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General Paxton. So he is saying Sid Miller is saying you don’t want to see me and a primary in your district. So I had a conversation with Sid Miller about this op ed and about the betrayal of those who call themselves Republicans. I’ll be right back. The Saucedo storm podcast rolls on next. And we think it’s about time the Republican Party needs to be purged in in the state of Texas if it’s going to restore any confidence from the voters. Joe Joe Biden and the Democrat Party approving of the Republican Party. I want no part of a republican party that is approved of by by Democrats. I want no part I will not support I will not donate to a republican party that is supported by Democrats. I vote against Marxists. I vote against socialists I vote against Democrats. I don’t want a Republican who meets their seal of approval. As a matter of fact, if you meet a Democrat seal of approval as a Republican, you’re the last person I wanted the job. You’re the last person who deserves to be in that job. Because as a Republican, you’re supposed to be an opponent of the Democrats, not a facilitator, not a butt kisser of the Democrats. So that’s just how I feel about it. I don’t know how you guys feel about it. All right, let’s bring on Sid Miller. Sid Miller is in his third term as the Texas Commissioner of Agriculture previously served as a member of the Texas House, a school board member and a teacher. Sit as a nationally renowned rodeo champion and actor as well as a Farmer and Rancher, Mr. Miller, welcome to the Salcedo storm podcast. Good to be with you, Chris. It’s been a while it has been a while, let me address the breaking news that you have been banned from Twitter for criticizing Republicans who facilitate Democrats. You want to make a comment on it? Well, you know, last time I look, we had freedom of speech in this country. I didn’t threaten anybody physical harm, or I don’t, I just don’t understand that. I mean, maybe they thought I was gonna go actually kill a real Rhino maybe I don’t know if that’s just I haven’t had a chance I just found out about just happened a few minutes ago this morning. So I haven’t even had a chance to look into it. But it seems kind of crazy to me for, you know, challenging. Another, you know, political figure. Yeah, you know, this reminds me of the Sarah Palin ads that she put out. She was targeting, quote, quote, unquote, targeting certain districts and the left wingers, the same left wingers who beat us up in the streets, the same left wingers who torch our our stores, who riot who rioted for two years, those same left wingers said, Oh, she’s, she’s targeting us. And they cried in the wind. And so here, you’ve got these, these individuals at Twitter, who seem to be okay with left wing violence. But when you use I guess, language that that has been in common use for years. Yeah, I’m going on a rhino hunt, meaning you’re looking to take them out politically, they lose their minds. There, it doesn’t take much. They don’t have much to lose, I guess. Easy to get there. And then there’s that. So the name of the piece you wrote for Texas scorecard is we gave them a chance. They blew it. Explain? Well, you know, we we own the house. I mean, we control that we own the Senate, the executive branch, we should be able to roll the Liberals anytime we want to we should be able to pass or Arizona our grocery list, right? Well, they didn’t get property taxes done. They didn’t secure the border. They didn’t pass the House bill seven. Something I’ve been working on for four years to stop the Taiwanese and our enemies from buying our farmland. They didn’t get that done. I mean, surely they could get that done. And the list just goes goes on and on and on. They did a few good things. But you know, I give them a score out of one to 100. They got about 20% of it. I mean, they left most of it and done and that’s that’s unexcusable. What has happened. I think our Republican Party is imploding. We’ve been infiltrated by non republicans, liberals, you know, Democrats running, we’ve let them get in office, and now they’re there. They’re tearing our agenda apart and not actually not tearing apart. They’re just not doing it. They’re just not doing their job. They say one thing in their district, they go to Austin, they get you know, they have the dips and chips to start schmoozing with the lobbyist and the liberals. And then you know, the most of them have good intentions when they go down there. But they just can’t take the pressure that comes with being in office and all the temptation so you We cleaned house, or we’re gonna we’re gonna lose taxes. No, you’re absolutely right. I think I think that we do have infiltrators, who are Marxists in their in their view of Charlie Garen, I’m speaking of Todd Hunter, I’m speaking of the speaker date feeling I’m sorry, when you hire an a Marxist Obama lawyer to be your to be your your parliamentarian with with the expressed intent of forwarding Republican bills and service to Democrats. That’s wrong. Let me let me ask you, you served in the Strauss era, did you not in the house? I did. Okay, so let me ask you, did you get the talk? Do you know the talk, I’m talking about the talk, I’ve been hearing from a lot of these Republicans, that that you get sat down by leadership. And you’re told all of your campaign promises, forget all that all the promises, you made your constituents forget all that you’re here in the Texas House. And our job is to get along with Democrats so that we do things differently here in the Texas House. Did you get that talk that that talk is you know, was given to a lot of people they knew better than give it to me? They wouldn’t dare sit me down and do that. So you know, that that would have not been a pretty sight. Yeah, like I was. I got busted. I was a kradic supporter who went down supporting so that next session, you know, I got busted, I couldn’t get on any of the preferred committees. So I just got out rulebook and I became known as executioner I would just kill and bills left and right points of order. And so I got really, really good at that. So I became feared on floor of the Texas House because of that. Well, that’s a good thing. I I like I prefer being feared and respected rather than rather than ruled over. Now I’m going to play a soundbite from Beijing Biden. And I think that he is articulating the problem that we have here in Texas. This is a Beijing Biden on MSN BS yesterday, talking about the Republicans who meet with his approval. Listen to this. By the way, there’s still a lot of really good Republicans out like entry and Senate. I think Mitt Romney is a first time there’s a lot of but not mitt, but others have come to me since I’ve been elected. Now, it’s six Republican senators to came at one time and the other four alone. Tell me Joe, I agree with you. But if I if I, if I’m seen to do and I lose a primary, the first step I don’t believe in because this man is a serial liar. I don’t believe that six Republicans actually came up to him and said that I you know, I believe in your Marxism, I believe in your open borders, I believe in all the crap you’re doing to our people. But Mr. Commissioner, I let me ask you, we do have these types of Republicans in the Texas State House, who by vote, and by Support, do have the Democrats seal of approval, and one is the speaker of the Texas House, is it not? Well, he certainly has a record that reflects that, you know, I hope, you know, I’m just, I’m not gonna give everybody the benefit of the doubt. But there’s no doubt now. I mean, they’ve removed all doubt we know where their loyalties lie. And he’s, you know, it seems like the speaker I don’t really know him. Never really, you know, had a meal or sat down with him, but seems like he is is indebted to the Democrats to maintain the speakership. And I think that’s why a lot of these these videos didn’t get to the governor’s desk. Well, true. And again, Mr. Miller, you’ve got actual votes by Democrats cast in favor of speaker date feeling that there’s no doubt about that, that the air quotes Republican Speaker David feeling has the support of the Democrat Socialist Party of Texas. There’s no doubting that they voted for him. Sid Miller is our guest right now, third term as the Texas Ag Commissioner. And he’s he’s done some time in the Texas House. And that’s how we look at it doing time. So Mr. Miller in 2022, you wrote on Twitter, I received more votes than Greg Abbott, Dan, Patrick and Ken Paxton. If you’re a rhino, you don’t want me in your district come primary season. Your warning for fake conservatives out there to get out of the way during this special special session. Is that while you put that tweet out? Yeah, I mean, I’m fed up with, you know, I really admire and look, Ronald Reagan, you know, and he said, you know, the 11th commandment is not talking about fellow Republicans. Well, I didn’t start this. There was probably 40 or 50. House members, Senate members that endorsed my Republican opponent last time. I mean, so I didn’t start this fight. So these guys if they want to get involved in an incumbent Republican incumbents, reelection, they started so I think that gives me justifiable means to get involved in fraud to get rid of some of these rhinos. Right? No, I concur. But you know what it goes, it goes down to the the chairmanship level two in these various counties, you probably heard what happened in Orange County, Texas, where you had a majority of the precinct chairs who wanted to vote to censure date feeling for promoting Democrat values for promoting the Democrats to chairmanships for betraying the Republican Party planks. But what their chairman, their chairman broke all the rules to deny the vote. So when you’ve got when you’ve got left wingers in there, masquerading as Republicans who are willing to break the rules, to allow other Republicans to betray conservatives, it’s a very deep problem, isn’t it? It’s very, very deep. I mean, we just, we just, you know, we’re gonna lose our authority. If we don’t do something. We keep letting these liberals infiltrate us, you know, directs our legislative agenda or acts very kill it, you know, not even give it a lot of day. You know, just look at what they’ve done that the last couple of sessions have just been nothing. We just really haven’t gotten any of our plank done. Maybe two of the 10 planks. That’s about it. Yep, that’s true. No, no parental school choice which Democrats, Republicans and independents overwhelmingly support in Texas. We didn’t protect the border. We didn’t protect the grid we didn’t do and here we are in the middle of triple digit heat in the state of Texas. And we’re being told to conserve power because the Texas State House had Democrat and money concerns over the well being of our people. And it can’t be allowed to continue. Sid Miller, the ad Commissioner, folks want to join you on your Rhino hunt, where can they go to help support you? You know, check out my facebook page Miller protected.
