Candy Noble is officially a candidate for Texas State Representative in House District 89.
The Collin County Republican has been considering a run since the district’s current state representative Jodie Laubenberg (R-Murphy) announced last month that she isn’t seeking re-election after an eight-term stint in the Texas House.
Noble made it official last week, launching her campaign with the endorsements of several prominent local Republicans.
In announcing her bid, Noble said that we must make “hard decisions to ensure that Texas enjoys a prosperous future.”
“I will be guided by my core beliefs of limited government, dedication to fiscal responsibility, and an unshakable commitment to protect the unborn.
“Texans deserve property tax relief, quality education, limited regulations which ensure a strong economy, a secure border, and protection of our second amendment freedoms and religious liberties. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as a conservative voice for these principles.”
Noble has a record of service in the community and the Republican Party. She has served for the past seven years as the State Republican Executive Committeewoman for Senate District 8, and is the parliamentarian for the Collin County GOP.
Noble also serves on the Texas Juvenile Justice Board, where she is a member of the Trust Committee and the Executive Committee.
Noble is currently the only declared candidate for HD 89’s March 2018 Republican primary, which will likely decide the general election winner in the reliably conservative North Texas district.
