In the race to fill the open seat in House District 106, State Rep. Pat Fallon (R–Prosper) announced his endorsement today of Frisco businessman Jared Patterson.
Fallon, who currently holds the seat, announced his campaign to challenge State Sen. Craig Estes (R–Wichita Falls) shortly after the special session concluded last summer. Patterson announced his candidacy soon after.
In the announcement, Fallon didn’t hold back in vouching for Patterson’s conservative credentials:

I wholeheartedly endorse Jared Patterson for State Representative in the strongest terms possible. Jared is the right person to take my place in the Texas House based on his commitment to the conservative ideals Denton County voters expect. He has my full support and I strongly encourage all conservative voters to join me in electing Jared Patterson to the Texas House.

Fallon’s announcement is only the latest conservative endorsement for Patterson, who has racked up endorsements from conservative organizations like Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, Texas Right to Life, and Young Conservatives of Texas.
Patterson is joined in the race by Clint Bedsole, who has come under fire recently for his failure to repay a $200,000 loan
A reliably red district, the winner of the Republican primary will likely represent the district in the next legislative session.
