Texas A&M guard TJ Starks is now in the NCAA transfer portal after announcing his departure from the Aggies.

Formerly TAMU’s assists leader and third-leading scorer last year, the Lancaster High School graduate was already sidelined by an ankle injury when he incurred an indefinite suspension for a violation of team rules. Starks took to Twitter on the night of Nov. 25 to say that he was leaving College Station, declaring that he will “be back.”

In what appeared to be a screen shot of a note typed out on his phone, the floor general said that he spoke with “the people who support me” and arrived at the conclusion it was best for him “to seek new opportunities.”

Aggies head coach Buzz Williams wished Starks “the absolute best going forward.”
