Citizen activists across the state are mourning the loss of H Scott Apley.
Apley was a follower of Christ, a dedicated husband to Melissa Apley, and a loving father to 5-month-old Reid.
A devoted fighter in the battle for self-governance, Apley has served for the last year as a member of the State Republican Executive Committee for Senate District 11.
In a statement released by the Texas Republican Party, Chairman Matt Rinaldi said, “Please join me in lifting the Apley family up in prayer. We will miss Scott deeply but find comfort knowing he is at peace in the arms of our Savior.”
Soon after the news of his passing, Apley’s friends shared the impact his life had on them and their prayers for the family he is leaving behind.
“RIP, my friend! Heaven has gained another good one,” said Mary Huls.
“My heart is broken at the loss of friend H Scott Apley,” said David Covey, a colleague of Apley’s on the SREC.
“I know H was a man of God, and I have no doubt he is in a better place now. But he leaves behind a wife and young son that he loved more than anything,” said Sean Ricker. “We love you H and will miss you dearly.”
“I’m numb and have no words. H Scott Apley, I know I’ll see you again one day. Rest in peace and know that you fought the good fight,” said Read King.
“I am heartbroken to learn that our SREC committeeman, H Scott Apley, is gone from this life. I am saddened because he leaves behind a wife and infant baby boy, his only son,” commented Naomi Narvaiz.
“To know H Scott Apley was to love him and his deep love for Texas liberty,” said Rebecca Hardy.
Service and memorial information is pending.
