From the unsustainable expansion of entitlements and spending to the
colossal national debt and a nearly indiscernible tax code, Washington
has a habit of taking control of things and promptly making a mess of
them.

SENATE BILL 25

This has certainly been the case with health care. For a century,
Washington has tried to ‘fix’ health care but only managed to make
things both worse and exponentially more expensive. ObamaCare is just
one more in a long line of expensive failures from Washington.
Now, with the impending implementation of ObamaCare, Washington is poised to lead America boldly and swiftly toward socialized health care.
It’s time to fix the governance of health care regulations. It’s time ask again: Who decides?
Texas and other states have an opportunity to answer that question better than before, taking the nation on a new and better course.
House Bill 5, also known as the Health Care Compact, would take Washington out of the health care policy mix and empower Texas to be the health care decision-maker for Texas.
Luckily, HB 5 is gaining steam in the Texas House! But this commonsense measure needs your help. The Health Care Compact will be heard and voted on the house floor this Wednesday, April 20th!
Please contact your State Representative and make sure they will be supporting House Bill 5 by Rep. Lois Kolkhorst! A companion measure has also been filed in the Senate by Senator Jane Nelson.
You can find out more about the Health Care Compact by visiting HealthCareCompact.com. The Compact has been approved by the legislature in Georgia – and is pending in a dozen more!
Texas has a chance to help turn a Washington failure into an American success in bringing real reform to health care policy by voting for House Bill 5!
