A former FBI counterterrorism agent is warning that Texas is already in a “pre‑kinetic” phase of jihad, with an expanding network of mosques, Islamic schools, and Muslim Brotherhood‑linked organizations he says are working to subvert American law and replace it with Sharia.
In an interview with Texas GOP Chairman Abraham George, former FBI agent John Guandolo shed crucial light on Sharia law in Texas and the Islamic agenda.
Guandolo stated that he came to understand “through investigations that there is a massive jihadi network and movement in the United States.” He went on to add that most of these infiltrators are nonviolent and that “[the invasion] is much more an espionage counter-intelligence subversion” rather than one of all-out war. However, Guandolo said he believed “it will go kinetic in a big way in the United States, but not yet.”
When asked if Guandolo would have ever anticipated that Zohran Mamdani, an outspoken Muslim, would be mayor of a post-9/11 New York City, he stated, “Sadly … Yes, this is how they operate. [Mamdani] is a jihadi. He supports jihadis. He’s wearing a suit and this is the problem.”
Regarding Sharia law, Guandolo said it is simply “according to Islam … Allah’s law,” and because Muslims believe it is “the perfect law for all humans for all times … it must be imposed on the earth.”
In order to counter the claim that “true Islam” is a peaceful religion, Guandolo pointed out that “the most widely used tabletop book of Islamic law in North America” states that “one of the three duties [of a Muslim] is jihad.” This statement was accompanied by a picture of a military tank in the referenced book.
He also informed George that this information is routinely taught to children as young as seventh grade and the book was formerly found in the Muslim prayer room at Goodfellow Air Force Base in San Angelo.
In discussing the relationship between religious freedom in America and Sharia law in Texas, Guandolo said it was “just stupid” to think that Americans are constitutionally required to allow Sharia law on a democratic basis. “Are you saying the Constitution says if someone’s trying to discard the founding principles, the Constitution and federal law, that the Constitution allows for that?”
“That’s just not sane thinking,” he stated.
According to Guandolo, any talk of stating that the Constitution could be replaced by Sharia through a democratic process is “traitorous talk.”
“The Constitution requires an oath to be taken … when people get elected. And the fidelity to that oath means you will do everything within your authority to ensure nothing overthrows the Constitution.”
Guandolo said the state now has more than 300 mosques, numerous Islamic schools, and a web of organizations tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas—including CAIR and the North American Islamic Trust—operating in major urban counties and on college campuses.
He singled out Plano imam Yasir Qadhi as a senior Muslim Brotherhood jurist and criticized local officials for publicly embracing him.
George, who helped push Proposition 10 in the Republican primary to “end Sharia law in Texas,” said the overwhelming support from GOP voters shows the grassroots want the Legislature to act.
With the state Republican convention approaching, both men urged delegates to demand strong platform planks targeting Sharia-based systems and to insist that only Texas and U.S. law govern Texans.
