When Republican voters cast their votes this week in the primary election, they didn’t just elect candidates. They also approved 13 ballot propositions.
These propositions don’t have the effect of law. Instead, they are designed as a poll of Republican voters to help guide the party’s policy priorities with regard to both the legislative priorities and party platform as determined by delegates in the state convention.
Each of the 13 propositions was approved by a majority of voters.
