One of the strongest conservatives in the Texas Legislature is Ken Paxton of McKinney. On issue after issue, he stands as one of the true heroes and champions of individual liberty, free markets, and right thinking.

I had the opportunity to address a conservative group in his district and personally present him with the Texas Taxpayer Hero Award. He and I sat down afterwards and chatted for a couple minutes about the importance of this election cycle, and why taxpayer protection should be at the forefront of the legislative (and political) agenda.
