Governor Greg Abbott nailed it when he called for a Chief State Prosecutor last month to step in when rogue district attorneys refuse to prosecute cases.
In Texas, we expect the law to protect us, not play favorites with criminals. But some leftist DAs, backed by George Soros through political action committees, are twisting justice to fit their agenda. It’s time to hold them accountable.
Soros has funneled millions through groups like the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC and Texas Organizing Project to elect prosecutors like José Garza in Travis County and John Creuzot in Dallas. These DAs promise “reform,” but deliver policies that let offenders off easy.
Garza’s office missed indictment deadlines 263 times in 2024 alone, releasing defendants charged with aggravated assault and murder. They’ve given lenient plea deals to rapists and violent criminals and even charged a fatal DUI as a misdemeanor with just 10 days in jail. Creuzot stops prosecuting thefts under $750 if claimed as “necessity” and halts charges for criminal trespass against the homeless, while pushing pretrial releases for low-level felonies.
President Trump has repeatedly called out these Soros prosecutors for creating chaos in our cities, saying they “let murderers, rapists, and drug dealers walk free” while targeting political opponents. He has promised to strip federal funding from any jurisdiction that refuses to enforce the law, labeling their actions “anarchist” and dangerous to American safety. Governor Abbott and I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump on this national project to restore law and order. What starts in blue cities spreads everywhere if left unchecked.
This same twisted mindset fuels the endless lawfare against President Trump, his allies, and conservatives across the country – endless indictments, show trials, and harassment designed to bankrupt and silence us. Meanwhile, these radical prosecutors turn violent criminals loose to prey on innocent citizens, steal from stores, and terrorize neighborhoods. It’s two tiers of justice: a hammer for patriots, a revolving door for predators.
These radical DAs invite more danger by refusing to prosecute certain crimes, giving sweetheart deals, and abusing processes like grand juries. They prioritize ideology over holding fentanyl dealers, rioters, or border-related offenders accountable, leaving innocent folks vulnerable. We’ve seen releases of violent suspects and ignored victims, eroding trust in the system.
Abbott’s Chief State Prosecutor would fix this by taking over cases local radical DAs won’t touch, ensuring justice for all. It’s no power grab – it’s protecting our rights to life, liberty, and fair treatment. As Deuteronomy 16:20 says, “Justice, and only justice, you shall follow, that you may live and inherit the land that the Lord your God is giving you.” Texas is our land, and we won’t let radicals undermine it.
Please join me in backing Governor Abbott’s proposal. Standing up for criminals is standing against the people of Texas. We deserve better. We demand justice for all.
