New footage has surfaced that shows individuals from Venezuela attempting to force their way into Eagle Pass.

In the footage, the foreign nationals can be seen wading through the waters of the Rio Grande, attempting to reach the other side. They crossed from Piedras Negras to Eagle Pass despite Texas national guardsmen working to deter the group.

According to X account ImpactoVision, which originally posted the footage, the group was large enough to shut the entire international bridge down for an estimated 20 minutes.

Fox News National Correspondent Bill Melugin reported that Mexico did “absolutely nothing” to stop them from crossing.

“On the US side, the Texas National Guard attempts to deter/turn them back and threatens to fire pepper balls at them. Zero MX law enforcement stopping them,” he posted on X.

Illegal border crossers have continued their efforts to try and force their way inside the country as fast as possible before President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration next month.

Simultaneously, the Biden administration is auctioning off sections of unused border wall. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick argued, “The Biden admin is auctioning off unused border wall materials for pennies on the dollar—treating our national security as if it’s a yard sale.”

“This isn’t just a fight against the incoming president—it’s a fight against the American people,” he posted on X.

Speaking to reporters at his Mar-A-Lago home, Trump said he is working with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and lawmakers around the country to stop the sale of border wall sections.

“Joe Biden, please stop selling the wall,” he stated.
