On Thursday, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released three options for local school districts as they address going back to school next week.

Option 1
Districts can continue with current in-person instruction practices.

Option 2
If experiencing infrastructure issues because of power outages and its related impacts, districts may provide 100 percent remote instruction, but the district must submit a waiver to TEA.

Option 3
If districts continue to experience infrastructure issues because of outages and related impacts interfering with providing remote instruction, districts may close completely. They will have to submit waivers for the missed school days.

If districts are experiencing issues that impact a return to school after next week, they will need to contact TEA for further approval.
