As part of Texas Scorecard‘s Uncut Conversations series, we invited each of the Republican candidates for Agriculture Commissioner to 1836 Studios sit down for a one-on-one interview. In these interviews, we discuss issues ranging from border security, to agriculture fees, to allegations of corruption within the office.

Sid Miller

Sid Miller is the incumbent Agriculture Commissioner, first elected in 2014. He is running for a third term.

James White

First elected to the Texas House in 2010, State Rep. James White (Hillister) announced his campaign against Miller last summer.

Carey Counsil

Carey Counsil is a veteran, rancher, and college professor in Brenham.
