The 2018 season has been a learning experience for Texas A&M freshman defensive back Cade Prendergast.

All season long, the Prosper High grad has looked on intently, waiting for his chance to come, as the Aggies have raced out to a 7-4 overall record and 4-3 standing in the SEC West.

Prendergast showed off both his smarts and championship pedigree while at Prosper playing under Coach Brandon Schmidt. He led the Eagles to a District 14-5A title while also being named to the district’s all-academic team.

The 6-foot-3, 190 pounder was also named District 14 honorable mention. Prendengast is also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Prosper’s 2016 title was the school’s first in several seasons and came after a mediocre 6-5 finish the year before.

Texas A&M finishes the regular season facing No.7 LSU in Baton Rouge. Winners of their last two by an average of 17.5 points, the Aggies have already qualified for Bowl season.
