Earlier this year, Liberty University landed Grapevine Faith Christian graduate Malik Caper with the intent to shore up its defensive line.

Caper, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 215 pounds, arrived in Lynchburg, Virginia as part of a very talented group of linebackers and is expected to see action for the Flames this season. He received positive comments for his performance during training camp from first-year linebackers coach Kyle Pope, according to The News and Advance.

The business administration major excelled at three positions – running back, linebacker and punter – for Grapevine Faith. An all-state and all-district honoree, he helped lead the Lions to a state title in 2016.
