Austin Vandegrift High graduate Osorachukwu “Oso” Ifesinachukwu is quietly developing into a reliable defensive end for Yale.

In six games so far for the Bulldogs, Ifesinachukwu, who stands 6-foot-3-inches and weighs 240 pounds, has one sack, 18 tackles and four tackles for loss (TFLs). The sophomore’s production is a far cry from the three tackles he registered as a reserve in 2018.

Ifesinachukwu enjoyed a decorated prep career at Vandegrift where he amassed an impressive line of 28 sacks, 263 tackles and 40 TFLs.

According to his athlete bio, he has an interest in biomedical engineering.
