North Texas businessman and pastor Ryan Binkley has withdrawn from the Republican primary runoff for Texas’ 32nd Congressional District, making Jace Yarbrough the GOP nominee.
“Now it is time to come together. Our party is strongest when we stand united, and I am committed to doing my part to help us secure a strong showing in November,” wrote Binkley in a statement posted to social media.
Yarbrough, who had the backing of President Donald Trump, received 49 percent of the primary vote earlier this month in a field of nine candidates. He now faces Democrat Dan Barrios in the November general election.
