On Thursday night, President Joe Biden addressed the nation from Independence Hall in Philadelphia, where the Founding Fathers declared independence from Great Britain nearly 250 years ago.
Against a backdrop of the American flag guarded by U.S. Marines and lit up in red—which many are calling “Satanic”—Biden railed against former President Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans.
“Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic,” said Biden before claiming, “There is no question that the Republican Party today is dominated, driven, and intimidated by Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans, and that is a threat to this country.”
Texas GOP Chairman Matt Rinaldi called the speech “shameful,” stating, “America doesn’t want a President that sounds like a mental patient railing against real and imagined enemies. They want one who will fix inflation, crime and the border.”
Rinaldi also highlighted Twitter’s response to Biden’s speech, before explaining that “if any Texas Republican votes in this political climate to put Democrats in charge of powerful committees, it is an absolute betrayal of their voters.”

State Rep. Jared Patterson (R–Frisco) also brought the issue back to the current economic crisis, stating, “I’d love to take this country backwards to $1.78 gasoline and an affordable basket of groceries,” in response to Biden’s remark that “MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards.”

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) highlighted Biden’s divisive rhetoric, stating, “He isn’t actually interested in restoring the soul of the nation, he’s only interested [in] pitting his fellow Americans against one another.”
Tonight, Joe Biden vilified millions of Americans in a divisive & angry speech that was detached from the reality of his political failures.

Notably, State Rep. Briscoe Cain (R–Deer Park) compared Biden’s rhetoric to that of Hitler and the Nazi party, claiming, “I don’t speak German. I can’t understand a word that comes out of Joe’s mouth.”

Former State Sen. Don Huffines responded to Biden’s comments about MAGA Republicans by saying:
MAGA is more than Trump. It is the enlightenment of the value of courage, the possibilities of prosperity, virtue, and freedom. It is the awakening of sleeping patriots to what has been lost to the communists. MAGA exposed the corruption of the Ivy League elites, leftist media, duplicitious RINOs, warmongerers, and the deep state. We cannot unsee what has been seen; MAGA has changed the world. Our swords of liberty are unsheathed. Our greatest days are coming.
Meanwhile, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton called Biden’s agenda “radical” and thanked Trump for supporting Texas.
Thank you President Trump for being such a gracious host & for your unyielding support for my efforts to defend TX. As Joe Biden pushes his radical agenda & attacks freedom-loving Texans to score political points, I am always proud to stand with you for freedom & liberty. #MAGA pic.twitter.com/zg0ssNBHxo

Trump wrote on Truth, his social media platform, that if Biden doesn’t want to Make America Great Again, then he shouldn’t be representing it.
