Recent Government Actions

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas earlier this week for failing to maintain control of the southwest border after U.S. Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz testified that the U.S. does not have operational control of the southwest border.

The Texas House unveiled a border security legislative package, and State Sen. Lois Kolkhorst (R–Brenham) is calling for the state to declare an invasion.

Solutions?

The Center for Renewing America has put forth a plan for states to declare invasions and defend the border using Article I, Section 10, Clause 3 of the U.S. Constitution.

Securing the border and protecting Texans is one of eight legislative priorities for the Texas GOP this session.
