A “family-friendly” drag show is set to take place later this month at a brewery in Fort Worth and will feature multiple cross-dressing men as performers.
Fort Brewery marketed the event as “the perfect event to celebrate a special occasion with your friends, family, or coworkers, or to simply indulge in a fun-filled day out with your loved ones.”
There is no age requirement to attend the event.
“Once again, a local establishment is hosting a ‘family-friendly’ drag show,” said Austin Griesinger, policy director of Texas Family Project.
In past performances, some of these cross-dressing men have strutted around and danced provocatively while clad in BDSM clothes, lingerie, and satanic-themed outfits as costumes—or sometimes with no clothing at all.
One featured performer’s social media is filled with images and videos of his previous performances and costumes.
One of his more provocative costumes includes glove stickers over his chest and crotch area, with no actual clothing. The video highlighted the nearly nude man taking money from an audience member as he proceeded to dance provocatively and stretch out across the ground.
Other videos of the cross-dresser showed him dancing in revealing outfits while touching his chest and crotch.
Another featured performer also exhibited his often satanic or BDSM-themed costumes on his Instagram account.
These are the performers Fort Worth Brewery is planning to feature in its “family-friendly” drag show.
“Just recently, Tulips in Fort Worth hosted a show like this, and the landlord banned all such performances after seeing the appalling footage, ” said Griesinger.
Griesinger encourages concerned parents and citizens to call the brewery and request an age restriction of 18+ or cancellation.
Protect Texas Kids, a pro-family grassroots organization, has scheduled a protest against the “family-friendly” drag show Fort Brewery plans to host.

Legislation to ban drag shows targeting children was passed in the Texas Senate earlier this month. This legislation faces an uncertain future in the Texas House of Representatives.
