Curry: I Opposed Ken Paxton in the Primary, He is the Only Choice November 3rd

Staying home or voting third party because your preferred candidate didn't win the Republican nomination is as good as a vote for the insane leftwing agenda of James Talarico.

Like many Texans, I was excited to welcome President Trump back to the Lone Star State this week, but his visit served as a powerful reminder of the consequences of the midterm election that is just days away.

During the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, I did not back Ken Paxton and while the attorney general and I do not agree on every issue, we agree on some very important things.

A secure border is a good thing that keeps Texas families safe.

The brave men and women of law enforcement are heroes who protect our communities from violent criminals.

Texas’ oil and gas industry is a modern miracle that powers the world and creates good-paying jobs for hardworking folks to support their families.

Men cannot get pregnant and certainly do not belong in little girls’ locker rooms.

And perhaps most importantly, Texans should keep more of their hard-earned money.

All of these ideas are common sense that 80% of y’all agree with. Who wouldn’t?

James Talarico.

I’m sure you’ve seen his ads on television where he puts on a pair of cowboy boots that have never seen a hard day’s work, jumps in a truck that isn’t his, and pretends to be an average Texan who will fight for our way of life.

Make no mistake – he is a far-left radical.

I would know. I served with him for years in the Texas Legislature.

Not only did he brag about being the most extreme member of the Legislature, but he also has the record to back it up.

Instead of cutting taxes and lowering costs, he said “I don’t care what taxes you have to raise” to fund his liberal dreams.

You should believe him when he says that. I know he means it.

When it comes to keeping Texans safe, it wasn’t enough for him to lead multiple efforts to defund the police. He even tried to abolish prisons to allow serial rapists to get out of jail and become your neighbor.

When it came time to boost Texas’ border security to stop Joe Biden’s open borders agenda that allowed millions of illegal aliens into America, you know who stood with violent illegals?

James Talarico.

He bragged about providing advice to criminal illegals on how to avoid law enforcement and even tried to defund every single penny of funding for border security in the state of Texas.

Imagine if there was no border security and the cartels were unopposed.

When gas prices soared under Joe Biden, Republicans worked to unleash energy production in Texas. Who opposed us?

If you guessed James Talarico, you are correct and hopefully you are starting to see the pattern.

He led a mini-Green New Deal that would have banned energy production in Texas and resulted in 620,000 Texans losing their jobs.

As if that was bad enough, he had the audacity to say that anyone who disagreed with his radical agenda could not call themself a Christian.

That is blasphemous.

Unfortunately, Talarico gets off on irritating Christians with blasphemous takes.

He has admitted multiple times that he calls God transgender because he wants to provoke those of us who go to church every Sunday.

As if that alone was not offensive enough, James Talarico has repeatedly used faith to justify legalizing sex changes for kids of any age and refused to ban public sex acts in front of kids because he worried it would limit drag performances.

Texans do not let fellow Texans vote for someone like this who will destroy our way of life, mock our culture, and degrade our communities.

And make no mistake, staying home or voting third party because your preferred candidate didn’t win the Republican nomination is as good as a vote for the insane leftwing agenda of James Talarico.

There is only one man running for Senate that will keep Texas, Texas.

That is Ken Paxton.

He might not have been your first choice in the primary, but he is the only choice on November 3rd.
