Ronald Reagan said freedom must be defended again, again and then again. And what he meant to say by that is we have to remain vigilant as a people to make sure that our rights or liberties or protections are upheld in particular, he meant that we had to keep an eye on government.
Government is supposed to be there to call balls and strikes to make sure that our that our constitutional protections are maintained. And to make sure that it’s a check on itself. Government is supposed to check itself to ensure that the people remain as free as humanly possible consistent with a civilized society. Now what happens when the government becomes antithetical to the rule of law, what happens when the government breaks the law?
Well, it becomes a bit of an issue. It has become commonplace for the Democrat Party. And sadly, if you look at the Texas House for the Republican party, the Republican leaders in the Texas House to break the law. They seek to thwart the will of the American people by doing their own thing. Here is William Jefferson Clinton back in the 90s, proving the Democrats Well, at least at one time gave lip service to the rule of law:
“Our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring. By barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens. In the budget I will present to you we will try to do more to speed the deportation of illegal aliens who are arrested for crimes to better identify illegal aliens in the workplace, as recommended by the commission headed by former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. We are a nation of immigrants. But we are also a nation of laws. It is wrong and ultimately self defeating, for a nation of immigrants to permit the kind of abuse of our immigration laws we have seen in recent years. And we must do more to stop it.”
And then of course, he went on to do absolutely nothing to stop it. All it has done is get exponentially worse. It was lip service back then. And it turns out he was colluding with a lot of so called Republican business interests to continue to facilitate stupid laws that continue to open up the southern borders until you see what we’re dealing with now.
Just recently 10,000 illegal aliens busted into the United States with the permission of Joe Biden in the Democrat Party. Tent. That’s a record folks in one day 10,000 in one day. We now have in Liberty County, a Colonia, a colony 75,000 illegal alien city and in Liberty County, Texas, and it’s just sitting there being a district You should note for deadly fentanyl and other deadly drugs. Being a distribution node for child sex trafficking and female sex trafficking right in the heart of Texas 75,000 strong and growing illegal alien city.
And we’re hearing that individuals who set up the illegal alien city are big donors to politicians in the state of Texas. Now, speaking of politicians in the state of Texas, don’t forget what the speaker of the Texas House along with his fake Republican lieutenants, the pro-Democrat Republicans what they did to HB 20, which would have set up a Texas border patrol to thwart all of the damage being done to us by Beijing Biden in the Democrat Socialist Party in the national level with their illegal immigration campaign. That bill was killed because the Democrats said to Dade Phelan please kill it for us. You’re our speaker. And he said whatever you Democrats want, I will do and he did.
It’s precisely what he did. And then And then they’d feel and had the temerity, the gall to jump on Fox last week and complain about Beijing Biden’s illegal immigration campaign. His purpose on Fox was to actually try to convince Republicans that he was actually a Republican or a conservative. And of course, the folks over at Fox they have no idea or maybe they do because Karl Rove is the one informing them over there, duping them. So he didn’t tell them the Dade Phelan was one of the primary instruments of keeping Texans less safe. He didn’t tell him that. They just wanted to get him on there. Did Karl Rove to reform his reputation after his failed attempt to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton.
The White House to was asked about hey, 10,000 illegal aliens in one day, you keep on claiming that you’ve stopped the illegal immigration?
“What do you call it? Here at the White House when 10,000 people illegally cross the border in a single day? So what do you call it? Peter? When GOP put forth a? Wait, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I’m answering. Okay. We’re gonna No, no, no, no, we’re moving on. No, no. I tried to answer. Peter, I tried to answer the question. You stopped me. Let’s go. Let’s go.”
She didn’t she didn’t she refused to answer the question because she has no good answer. She wants to blame the Republicans who are not in power. We know that President Trump stopped illegal immigration at that border, despite universal opposition from both political parties inside of the House and the Senate. We know that he did it. We know Joe Biden could do it but isn’t want to. It’s like, Oh, no. Trump had it all stopped. It was all working just fine. Then Beijing Biden comes in and all of a sudden, we’re getting seven and a half million illegal aliens two and a half million known God aways. And it’s not, it’s not Biden’s fault. Oh, no, it’s still the Republicans fault. It’s these people are not serious people. They are anti American lawless people who will do anything to preserve their own political power.
And there’s very little difference between the Democrats we see in the Biden White House, and the Republicans in the Texas House who are in leadership. They operate the same way they’ll do anything break any law break any norm to get what they want to stop those who get in their way. And right now, the Attorney General of the State of Texas was is in the way and was getting in the way of Republicans efforts to deliver for Democrats. So we had to be taken out and speaker Dade Phelan and his lieutenants, whether it’s the Dirty Dozen, according to the Texas scorecard, whether it’s the Chris Salcedo 24 Whether it’s all 60 of those Republicans who voted for the impeachment, their conduct, their morals are every bit worthy of a Marxist left wing betraying Democrat.

I am your liberty loving Latino Do not confuse me with loudmouth leftist Latinos out there. I actually love my country. I love my state, the United States of America and the great state of Texas where we were able to beat back through the skill of, of attorneys who were were steadfast in defending the Attorney General of the State of Texas, and stopping a really corrupt endeavor by those who call themselves Republicans over in the Texas House, one of those attorneys, Tony Busby. He was one of the lawyers who defended Ken Paxton in this sham impeachment trial. He joins me now. Mr. Busby, welcome.
Good morning.
Counselor are the folks who made the case for the house impeachment. These These so called witnesses what I call co conspirators, they were never placed under oath in fabricating this secret of impeachment in the last days of the of the legislative session. Basically, I think this allowed a whole bunch of other Republicans to be duped and trusting the Texas House leadership, am I reading that correctly?
I think if you look at the vote, we tried to get the case dismissed at the beginning. And if you look at the vote for the dismissal motion, we could only get six votes. And I think the reason for that is because when the House pulled this off the sham impeachment. Their lawyers told the American public and the Texas public and everyone else listening, of course, that the evidence was so called 10 times worse than what we all had heard. I knew the evidence wasn’t 10 times worse, I knew it was a lot less than what we’ve been told. And I knew that none of these witnesses had ever been put under oath. And I knew that when they were put under oath. And when I cross examine them, that they were going to crumble like the cookies that they were. And you can see why the votes to throw this out went from six to 16, in some cases, in the 20. Because we systematically demonstrated that they not only had no evidence that the allegations they were making were just flat false. The most important one, the one that I thought was most serious, the allegation that Ken Paxton and Senator Angela Paxson had been roasted, this serrated in the press for three months, with the allegation that that some developer had paid for the home renovations in their home. And rather than assuming Ken Paxton was innocent of that charge, depressed in Texas, and nationally, put that allegation and ran with it. And essentially defame that family over and over and over with a gag order in place such that we couldn’t even come out and show that was untrue. So when I finally was able to get the witness who had made that that allegation on the stand, and systematically demonstrate to him, which is, which is exactly the opposite of way things should be. But I demonstrated to him that what he had said, and the allegation that had been made and picked up in the press was completely false. You could see it on his face. You could see on his face that he realized that he had accused his former boss of something that was flat out false, and that you could you could almost feel the air leave the room? Because I think, you know, the, the, what the senators wanted to do was like, Look, we’ve heard a lot in the press, we want to see whether any of this is true. And I think that was probably the last, the last straw that broke the camel’s back of this case that had been brought, and what the tragedy of it all is, of course, is that is that somebody, a group of people who have no evidence can go to the FBI. and then go to the press and basically convict someone in the press and then the or put a gag order in place where we can’t fight back. Yep. And we have to go in two weeks to demonstrate our innocence. And you know, we were up against it. Let’s let’s not let’s not pretend, you know now the The Wall Street Journal and others are saying well the fix was done well the fix was not in. I’m here to tell you had we not shown up and demonstrated at Ken Paxton was absolutely innocent. That would have been a different outcome.
Yeah, the Wall Street Journal owned by, by News Corp. And of course, a Karl Rove very instrumental over there, and News Corp. And I want to get to rove in the bushes here in a minute, but about what the house had done. Mr. Busby, because there are millions of Texans now, the robes and the bushes excluded, who are livid knowing that it is possible in the state of Texas, for four of these people in elected office to completely make up charges against somebody at waste millions of dollars, and then go through an impeachment, somebody who received over 4 million votes in an election, and then try to get that person thrown out. A lot of people are asking, and I’m asking, is there any recourse legally to hold those in the house? Who falsified this impeachment? Hold them legally accountable? Maybe they see some jail time?
I’m not sure there is. And that’s, that’s the same at all. There’s certainly accountability in the election season, and that’s what I’m expecting will happen. You know, to bring something like this with no evidence, and then bandied about in the press for three months, where we had no, no recourse in that regard. And yet, we know that the House managers and their lawyers were aligned with a liberal press. And so they didn’t have to say anything to the press. They had people doing that for them. And then to demonstrate that the allegations made were absolutely false. And now, once we did that, then turn around and attack the legitimacy of the process. I mean, it makes it almost impossible for somebody who’s trying to do the right thing. Who’s doing who’s doing his job, who gets attacked, it almost makes it almost impossible. Yeah, I mean, first they bring the impeachment and say, Oh, we’re gonna get Ken Paxton. And then when they don’t, because they don’t have evidence, then they attack the legitimacy of the process. What a farce all of it is.
It is, it is and you can see the power and you can see its naked politics right in front of you. Tony Busby is our guest right now, folks, he’s an attorney, he defended Attorney General Ken Paxton, in the impeachment farce. You mentioned, there was something that I wasn’t quite clear on how you guys found this. I recognize that this this idea of beefing up the case, this is when the CO conspirators recognized that they made a whole bunch of allegations they couldn’t they didn’t have any evidence to back up. And so they had to, quote beef this up, where did you find that?
I found that in the texts. And let me be clear, our team. We had an incredible team, we had to sift through 1000s upon 1000s of documents, and some of those documents included Tech, we had to subpoena hundreds and hundreds of potential witnesses and we were able to obtain texts and one of those texts exchange between some of the whistleblowers they realized, as they were going to the FBI, the very next day, maybe the same day, they realized you know what, we don’t have any evidence of any sort of crime. We need to beef this up, but they’re not even going to take us seriously. And then my colleague who cross examine Mr. Vasser. He did such a wonderful job with Vassar and forced Brian bass are one of the whistleblowers to admit that they went to the FBI with no evidence. That’s Mitch little to just really, you know, people now hit know his name is one of the great trial lawyers in the state of Texas. So, you know, we had to systematically disprove their case. I mean, in my view, it felt like everybody had already been convicted. We’ve been convicted, and you could not read one news article across the country that said anything nice or anything, exonerating about Ken Paxton. And so we had to prove, prove his innocence. And you know, the good news is there was such a lack of evidence with with some work and some dedication and with a great team around us we were able to do that.
Yeah. And I know you you had to it and responsibility to your client, you had to put in these motions to get this whole thing dismissed because the way the impeachments were filed was completely illegal counter to Texas law. But it does seem to be the silver lining. The trial went on because now we were all able to see just how big a degenerates these co conspirators were, how degenerate individuals over in the Texas House GOP leadership were and of course, all 60 One Democrats who voted for this impeachment as well along with 60 individuals, some of them duped on the Republican side, and some of them knowingly conspiring to file this impeachment. And that brings me to my last question, Mr. Busby should Shouldn’t this whole thing scare the pants off of every Texan because Ken Paxton had access to fantastic lawyers, like you and your team. And you guys did such a great job. But you’re up against the clock. And if you guys hadn’t been as good as you were, you wouldn’t have been able to untangle this mess. And if you don’t have means and you don’t have access to a team such as yours, you know, Dade Phelan and crew could railroad any Texan they choose to go to railroad simply because they get in their way.
It shouldn’t that scare everybody is to scare the pants off everyone. I’m telling you, if we were up against them, they must have had 40 lawyers in that courtroom. They brought in the best lawyers they could find they brought in described, legal legends had been in the practice. And they’ve been in the most important cases in the entire country. And had but for the effort of Ken Paxton team, and but for the fact that Ken Paxton has a backbone of steel, he would have been railroaded. And so it should scare people. And I was very receptive and proud of Lieutenant Governor, whose comments later calling for reform and the impeachment process. But remember, there had only been two impeachments in the history of Texas and only one against the statewide official. And this is the first one that’s ever been won. And I told I told the senators and our jury, I said, you know if this is able to prevail, we’ll see this a lot more often. Because they will weaponize this process was which is what happened here. And thank God and thank for thank God for justice, that we were able to beat this back and show these jurors that there was nothing you know, my first words when I did the closing arguments, and when I did the opening statement was this is nothing, there is nothing here. I can tell you, I’ve looked at every piece of paper, there’s nothing here. If you were to read the newspaper, you would think that Ken Paxton was an outright criminal, that is a lie. He has done nothing wrong. And we had to systematically show that and we were able to do that. And I’m very proud of our work. And I’m very proud of our Attorney General.
