Baylor senior forward Lauren Cox will more than likely leave Waco as one of the most decorated players in Lady Bears basketball history.

Cox, who graduated from Flower Mound High School, is building résumé worthy of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. The 6-foot-4-inch forward was a major catalyst in Baylor’s national championship run last year, but she suffered an injury in the title game.

While the timeline of Cox’s return is uncertain, she is expected to again contribute during her final collegiate season.

Averaging 12.9 points and 7.4 rebounds over her Baylor career, the senior is the daughter of two former college basketball players. Father Dennis played for Methodist College in Omaha, Nebraska while mother Brenda lettered for SMU. The communication studies major currently has a sister playing at Lubbock Christian University.
