Senior quarterback Taylor Cornelius has made huge progress at Oklahoma State.

According to the school’s website, the 6-foot-6, 232-pound management major completed nearly 60 percent of his passes for 3,978 yards and 32 TDs against 13 interceptions in 2018.

Cornelius was redshirted in 2014, and completed seven of his nine pass attempts for 64 yards with no interceptions as a sophomore and six of his 10 pass attempts for 148 yards with no interceptions as a junior.

Cornelius attended Bushland High School, where he was named District 1-2A MVP and Amarillo Globe News athlete of the year as a senior. He also won accolades in baseball, basketball, and track and field. Aside from sports, Cornelius was a member of the national honor society, participated in the UIL Theatre, and was a student council member.

Cornelius comes from an athletic family with his cousins including a NFL defensive end and an Olympic gold medal-winning swimmer.
