Calallen alumnus Kyle Hill has begun his minor league baseball career with the West Virginia Power.

Hill, a right-handed pitcher who recently finished up a decorated stint with Baylor, made five relief appearances through July 8 with the Power, a Class A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. He had a 1-0 record with a 7.56 earned run average, nine strikeouts and 10 hits and two walks allowed in 8⅓ innings.

Hill was drafted by Seattle in the 10th round of this year’s Major League Baseball Draft after a strong career at Baylor.
