Southern Methodist University senior wide receiver James Proche is establishing himself as one of the must-see offensive players in NCAA Division I football.

Proche, who attended and starred at nearby Dallas DeSoto, makes life easy for SMU quarterback Shane Buechele. The 6-foot, 193-pound, fifth-year target averages close to 90 receiving yards per contests and has scored seven times in 2019.

Career-wise, Proche has amassed 3,253 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns.

According to Proche’s athlete bio, he is a recipient of the Maxwell Award, Biletnikoff Award, Paul Hornung Award and a member of the Touchdown Club of Columbus Players to Watch. He landed on the All-AAC First Team and appeared on the AAC Weekly Honor Roll as a junior.

While at DeSoto, Proche was one of the most sought-after receivers in the country.
