Junior cornerback Myles Jones contributed to Texas A&M’s stellar defensive effort against Texas State, a season-opening 41-7 rout.

Prior to facing the Bobcats, the 6-foot-4, 185-pound Jones had just one career interception since coming to College Station from Magnolia West High. He doubled that figure by snagging two of the Aggies’ four interceptions to go with one tackle.

Jones also became the first Aggie since 2017 to have two picks in a game. He is coming off a sophomore season in which he had nine pass deflections.
