Keller native Shelby Henderson contributed to Texas Tech’s 7-1 softball victory over Odessa College on Sept. 17.

The 5-foot-3-inch Henderson, a utility player, hit one of the final two singles before the end of the eight-inning contest, which is the Red Raiders’ third consecutive victory. Texas Tech is currently 3-0 in fall play.

Henderson is in her second season with the Red Raiders. Last year, she transferred from Lamar where she set the school record for RBIs and earned 2018 All-Southland Conference Second Team honors.

Henderson’s first game for Texas Tech was coincidentally against the Cardinals, a matchup in which she collected seven putouts.

Henderson was instrumental in Keller High winning the 2016 Class 6A Texas state championship.
