Lucas Lovejoy High graduate Shanel Bramschreiber is providing stellar defensive support for the Baylor women’s volleyball team.

Playing the libero position, the 5-foot-7-inch Bramschreiber is a year removed from a freshman season in which an injury forced her to sit out the Bears’ first 15 matches. The sophomore acts as a dig machine for highly ranked Baylor, with 78 to her name so far in 2019.

In early September, Bramschreiber chipped in nine digs in three consecutive games – all victories.

She enjoyed a decorated prep career at Lovejoy. As a senior, she earned District 15-5A MVP and Texas Volleyball UIL 5A Defensive Player of the Year.

At Baylor, she is majoring in health, kinesiology & leisure studies.
