Tipa Galeai, a Euless resident and Trinity High School graduate, was recently honored for his exploits with the Utah State Aggies football team.

The 6-5, 230-pound linebacker was named Second-Team All-Mountain West and Phil Steele Second-Team All-Mountain West in 2018, as his school bio states. As a redshirt junior in 2018, Galeai started in 12 of the 13 games he played, logging 30 solo tackles and 34 assists – ranking fifth on the team.

Galeai was Texas District 7-6A first team and honorable mention at Trinity High. From there, he went to Texas Christian University, playing in 17 games combined over his freshman and sophomore years.

Beginning in 2017 as a redshirt transfer player for the Aggies, Galeai “was named the Scout Team Co-Defensive MVP,” as the his bio states.

A major in interdisciplinary studies, Galeai’s brother also played for Utah State.
