Everything about Jason Bean’s history says his time at North Texas is surely coming.

The 6-foot-3, 184-pound freshman quarterback has appeared in just one game and attempted two passes for the 9-4, 5-3 in Conference USA West Division Mean Green this season, still his pedigree remains unquestioned.

As a senior at Lake Ridge High, Bean passed for 1,682 yards and 20 touchdowns after amassing 2,956 passing yards and 29 scores as a junior. Over that same two-year period, he also rushed for 1,224 yards and 10 more TDs.

According to the North Texas school website, it was enough for Bean to rate as a three-star recruit in 247Sports.com composite rankings and for Mean Green coach Seth Littrell to have complete faith in him.

A second-team All-District selection as a junior at Lake Ridge, Bean settled on North Texas over the likes of Colorado State, Liberty, Louisiana Tech and SMU.
