One of the reasons why the Southern Methodist University men’s basketball program is off to an incredible 6-0 start this season is the offensive prowess of sophomore forward and Dallas DeSoto High School graduate Feron Hunt.
It is no surprise that the Mustangs do not hesitate to make sure that the ball is in the 6-foot-8-inch, 195-pound Hunt’s hands. Through SMU’s first six games of the season, Hunt has been shooting at nearly 60 percent from the field, 42 percent from behind the arc, and averaging 13.2 points per contest.
He is also a presence on the boards, collecting close to nine rebounds per game.
As of press time, SMU was preparing to take on Abilene Christian University on Nov. 29.
