Peyton Mansell, a freshman for the Iowa Hawkeyes, is a leading example of what the Iowa football program hopes to exemplify.

Mansell, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback, has been successful on and off the field.

Coming from Belton, Mansell earned honorable mention all-state recognition as a senior and was named district MVP as a senior in high school according to the University of Iowa website.

He also touted academic all-district and all-state awards during his high school tenure at Belton.

Mansell was medically redshirted during his 2017 season after sustaining an injury. The Iowa Hawkeyes are looking forward to him coming back healthy and productive for the upcoming season with play time that matches all of his previous accomplishments.
