Waco native Chase Hill is showing off his athletic talents at West Virginia University.

According to the school’s website, Hill, a 5-foot-11, 176-pound freshman, plays safety for the West Virginia Mountaineers.

Hill was most recently recognized by the WVU football coaching staff as a Special Teams Scout Team Champion for his performance in the Mountaineers’ 42-41 win at Texas in November.

While attending Live Oak Classical High School, Hill was a three-sport captain in baseball, basketball and football. Hill played for football coach Jordan Barker. While Hill led all 2A private schools in touchdowns as a junior and senior, he also led the schools in receiving yards in his last year.
