State Rep. Joe Driver today committed to stand for Texas’ taxpayers and resist any effort to raise taxes this legislative session.

The Dallas County Republican is the 71st member of the 82nd Legislature to sign the Taxpayer Protection Pledge. In signing the pledge, legislators promise to “oppose and vote against any and all efforts to increase taxes.”

Mr. Driver is clearly putting good public policy, and the needs of Texans, ahead of the squawking he is sure to hear from big-spenders this legislative session.
