Texans are continuing to see a steady stream of suspected illegal aliens charged with sexually abusing children, mirroring a nationwide crime trend.
The X site Illegal Alien Crimes has documented the arrests of hundreds of suspects who have immigration detainers or “holds” issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Dozens are charged with sex crimes against minors.
Detainers are used by ICE to apprehend dangerous deportable noncitizens who are arrested by another law enforcement agency.
Earlier this year the site found that in Dallas County alone, 14 suspected illegal aliens were arrested for sexually exploiting children in just one month.
During the past three months, Illegal Alien Crimes identified more than 30 suspects with immigration holds who were arrested in Texas and charged with sex crimes involving children.
The charges against the suspects include:
— Sexual assault of a child (8)
— Aggravated sexual assault of a child (8)
— Continuous sexual abuse of a child
— Sexual abuse of multiple children
— Continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 (7)
— Indecency with a child by sexual contact (10)
— Indecency with a child by exposure
— Sex trafficking of a child
— Online solicitation of a child for sex
— Inducing sexual performance of a child
— Possession of child sexual abuse material (child pornography)
Other recent illegal alien arrests in Texas have included charges ranging from indecent exposure and invasive visual recording in a bathroom to aggravated sexual assault, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and murder.
The arrests have occurred across the state in Brazos, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Harris, Hays, Liberty, McLennan, Midland, Montgomery, Potter, and Wise counties.
A recent report revealed that one in ten Harris County Jail inmates are illegal aliens under ICE detainers. Of the 1,170 inmates with ICE holds, 174 were connected to sexual assault cases—most involving children under 14 years old.
Another 75 of Harris County’s illegal alien inmates were charged with murder. They include the two Venezuelans charged with kidnapping, raping, and murdering 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray.
A list of the 10 most wanted criminal illegal aliens in Texas features six men wanted for sex crimes against children; two others are wanted for sexual assault.
According to a report by the Center for Immigration Studies, illegal aliens commit significantly more sexual assaults in Texas than the state’s overall population.
In 2019, the number was 17.8 sexual assault convictions per 100,000 illegal aliens compared to 10 for Texans overall—although CIS cautioned that the illegal alien conviction rate was likely underestimated.
Since then, the number of illegal aliens in the U.S. and Texas has skyrocketed, and reports of illegal aliens sexually assaulting women and children continue to rise.
President-elect Donald Trump recently announced plans to create a compensation fund for victims of violent illegal alien crimes.
