If there’s ever been a body willing to stand up for traditional Texas conservative values in the face of massive criticism, it’s been conservatives on the State Board of Education (SBOE). Sometimes they’ve not acted in the most clever or smooth manner but, stand up for traditional values they have.

But not all Republicans on the board have agreed. In fact one of them, Bob Craig of Lubbock, has made it a habit to team up with the Libs to bash conservatives on that board.

This past year it was learned that Bob Craig has been a primary source feeding one of the state’s most liberal columnists with material used to attack conservatives. I supported Bob Craig in the past, and I do think he’s a nice guy and a fine lawyer, but I know now he’s not a conservative on the SBOE. In fact, he is a willing a tool of the Libs.

I urge conservatives to get behind Randy Rives. Rives is solidly conservative and he’s a former president of the Ector County school board. Hardly the outsider to education some have tried to paint him.

In SBOE district 15, sadly I must report that the RINO is Bob Craig. The conservative is Randy Rives.
