Texans voted Tuesday to send two new Republicans and two new Democrats to Washington, D.C., to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Republican Craig Goldman beat Democrat candidate Trey Hunt for Congressional District 12, covering parts of Fort Worth and Parker County. Goldman previously served in the Texas House. He replaces retiring U.S. Rep. Kay Granger.

Republican Brandon Gill beat Democrat candidate Ernest Lineberger III and Libertarian candidate Phil Gray for CD 26, which includes parts of Denton, Wise, and Cooke Counties.

Democrat Sylvester Turner beat Republican candidate Lana Centonze for CD 18, previously held by Sheila Jackson Lee before her death. The district covers part of Harris County.

Before Turner takes over, Jackson Lee’s daughter, Erica Lee Carter, will serve in her seat for the last two months of her term.

Democrat Julie Johnson beat Republican candidate Darrell Day and Libertarian candidate Kevin Hale to serve CD 32, which includes parts of Dallas and Collin Counties. She previously served in the Texas House and is replacing U.S. Rep. Colin Allred, who attempted to unseat U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz but lost his bid.

The four will take office on January 3.
