The transcript for this week’s video, Is The Classroom A Worksite?, is now available.

Why don’t teachers get professional respect in Texas?
It might have something to do with the unions that represent them.
The teacher unions do their dead-level best to cast teachers as anything BUT professionals. They fight efforts at every turn to reward high-quality performance with better pay.
The unions also don’t seem to have much respect for the purpose of education: educating kids.
The Texas State Teachers Association website refers to where teachers work not as a classroom, but as a “worksite.”
A worksite?
That may be a good description of a demolition project.
But a classroom in Texas? No way.
It’s time for Texas teachers to stop letting unions ruin their profession. It’s time to get the unions out of the classroom, and let the best teachers teach.
