Koda Martin instantly felt right at home with the Syracuse football program.

The son-in-law of Orangemen head coach Dino Babers, the 6-foot-6, 304-pound redshirt senior offensive lineman transferred to Syracuse as a graduate student in 2018 after spending three letterman seasons at Texas A&M, according to Cuse.com.

The son of a coach, Martin was an integral part of an A&M offensive unit that averaged more than 400 yards per game during his junior season, including almost 300 on the ground in one game against SEC rival Arkansas.

Martin was rated a four-star recruit by ESPN coming out of Manvel High where he was also a two-time All-District selection. As a senior, he was also a member of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football Super Team.

While at A&M, Martin was also previously named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and in his final season was tabbed Weight Room MVP at the team’s annual banquet.
