If the past is any indication of what’s to come, University of Nebraska-Lincoln offensive lineman Brenden Jaimes is sure to have an impressive junior year.
According to the school’s website, the 6–foot-6, 300-pound criminology and criminal justice major has been setting records for the Nebraska Cornhuskers ever since joining the team in 2017.
As a sophomore, Jaimes helped Nebraska post its most yards and highway point total in a Big Ten Conference game since the Huskers joined the league in 2011. As a freshman, Jaimes set a school record for most starts by a true freshman offensive lineman. He was the fifth true freshman offensive lineman to start at Nebraska and the 11th Husker offensive lineman to play as a true freshman.
Prior to Nebraska, Jaimes was an offensive linemen for Lake Travis High School. ESPN listed Jaimes among the top 50 tackles in the nation, while Scout.com ranked him the third-best tackle prospect in Texas and one of the nation’s top 30 offensive tackles.
